Mark W. Sheppard, D.D.S.

Dr. Sheppard was born in Florida. He attended school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and earned his DDS degree in 1994. He is consistently staying on top of his continuing education.

Dr. Sheppard is a member of the following professional organizations:

  • American Dental Association

  • Idaho State Dental Association

  • North Idaho Dental Society

  • Seattle Study Club

  • Delta Sigma Delta Professional Fraternity (lifetime member)

In his spare time, Dr. Sheppard enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, fishing, gardening, reading and spending time with his friends. In past years he has done volunteer work in Central America and Mexico.

He tries to keep the practice as friendly as possible. He is always concerned about providing superior dental care at a reasonable price. The care and treatment we give comes naturally because we like to view our patients as family. He is proud of his dedication to each patient and will help everyone look and feel their best through outstanding dental care.

Melanie Shepard

Office Manager & Dr. Sheppard’s wife

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Texas Baptist University in 1988

  • Moved to Lewiston in 1994 & began working for Dr. Sheppard in 1996 after teaching for eight years in both Louisiana and Idaho

  • Took accounting classes right here at Lewiston State College

  • Continuing education classes have been beneficial in relating her education background to modern dental practices

  • Loved Idaho and traveling the Northwest as well as spending time with family and friends

  • Has four children

  • Has been in general dentistry and oral surgery since 2014

  • Married to Danny with two sons Trapper and Rowdy

  • As a family we enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and jet boating

  • Received dental assistant certificate in 2017 from LCSC

  • Started with Dr. Sheppard in 2020

  • Has a black lab named Ollie and a horse named Panko

  • Enjoys camping, riding 4wheelers, riding horses, and being outdoors

Clinical Coordinator

  • Moved from Grangeville, Id, has lived in the Lewiston valley since 1998

  • Many years experience with scheduling and customer service, joined Dr. Sheppard’s Team in 2013

  • Married to John with two energetic boys Lance and Zack

  • Likes to travel, read, spend time with family, and enjoys being outdoors.
